    During this workshop we're going to build small instruments out of everyday used things and attach contact microphones on them. Workshop participants will improvise music with them and affect the overall sound using a wii controller.

    • Augmented Reality Workshop 21.07.2010

      On this workshop we will look at some current trends in Augmented reality use (education/ advertising/ entertainment). Then the Big South Lab team together with the participants will make custom AR applications, using computer vision and paper markers.Free entrance.

    • Beat Making Workshop 29.07.2010 (17:30 - 22:00)

      On this workshop we'll break down how a beat (Hip Hop style) is structured and find what sounds fit together better. We'll also look into applying grooves and mixing techniques to make it sound more professional. We'll work with Propellerheads Reason and Ableton Live. Participants may bring some of their favorite tunes, then during the workshop we will replicate their beats.Free entrance.

    • VJing and Wearables Workshop 26.5.10 - 20.6.10
      Learn to VJ for a performance with live bands, using the Nintendo Wii controller and wearable sensors to control VJ software.
    • Soup Event 30.5.10
      Soup and VJing for the masses! An event at a special market organised by the Freehouse at the Afrikaanderplein around the theme cooking, eating and green.
    • Beat Making & Rapping Workshop 12.5.10
      A one-day event that took place at the opening of the new office of Kosmopolis. During the workshops six participants from Wijkschool were guided on how to sequence musical material and write lyrics.
    • Re-Mapping Feijenoord 10.3.10 - 7.4.10
      The aim of the project is to make people aware of their cultural identity and to use this as a starting point for a narrative re-mapping of the area.
